Ask My Mum How She Is
================
My Mum she tells a lot of lies,
She never did before,
But from now until she dies,
She'll tell a whole lot more.
Ask my Mum how she is,
And because she can't explain,
She will tell a little lie,
Because she can't describe the pain.
Ask my Mum How she is,
She'll say 'I'm alright'
If that's the truth, then tell me,
Why does she cry each night?
Ask my Mum how she is,
She seems to cope so well,
She didn't have a choice you see,
Nor the strength to yell.
Ask my Mum how she is,
'I'm fine, I'm well, I'm coping'
For God's sake Mum, just tell the truth,
Just say your heart is broken.
She'll love me all her life,
I loved her all of mine,
But if you ask her how she is,
She'll lie and say she's fine.
I am here in Heaven,
I cannot hug from here,
If she lies to you don't listen,
Hug her and hold her near.
On the day we meet again,
We'll smile and I'll be bold,
I'll say 'You're lucky to get in here, Mum,
With all the lies you told!'

HEAVEN'S NURSERY
In Heaven there must surely be
A special place, a nursery
Where ' little spirits ' not fully grown
Go to live in their Heavenly home.
The angels must attend with love
Tiny spirits on wings of doves,
The choir of angels must sing lullabies
Maybe quieten their tiny cries.
The Father must come by each day
To cuddle and play in a special way
These tiny spirits left earth too soon
Little ones called home from the womb.
These sparks of life did not perish
But came to the Father's love to cherish,
To grow and be taught in His own arms
Safely away from all earthly harm.
The comforter was sent to earth at once
To the parents who lost their little one
Their hearts so ache, their arms feel empty
The question 'why' seems so tempting.
Then all at once in the midst of tears
There comes a peace that stills the fears
The parents share the Father's own need
To hold their tiny spirit being.
They relinquish their own desperate hold
And release their baby to the Father's fold,
Then comes an angel to whisper the truth
Of a nursery in Heaven bearing rich fruit.
Of tiny spirits chosen to worship the Father
A place that couldn't be filled by another,
Called to be spared from the struggles of earth,
Chosen to be one of Heaven's births.
So Father, whisper words of love from me
To our unborn 'life' in your nursery.

With You Always
As The Sun Came Up This Morning
I Watched You There Below
Your Hearts Seemed Oh So Heavy
But There’s Something You Should Know
I’m Not Gone Don’t Worry
I’m Just A Step Ahead
And I’m With You Every Single Day
As You Rise Up From Your Bed
I Am The Sun That Warms You
I Am The Moon’s Soft Glow
I Am The Stars That Twinkle
And Light Your Path Below
So When At Times You Miss Me
Just Look For Me I’m There
For You Cannot Hide My Spirit
It Is With You Everywhere
Author - Margie Martinez
Let the river rock you like a cradle,
climb to the treetops, child, if you're able,
let your hands tie a knot across the table,
come, and touch the things you cannot feel.
And close your fingertips and fly where I cannot hold you,
let the sun-rain fall and let the dewy clouds enfold you,
and maybe you can sing to me the words that I just told you.
If all the things you feel aren't what they seem,
then don't mind me, cos I aint nothin
but a dream.
The mockingbird sings each different song,
each song has wings, they won't stay long,
do those who hear, think he's doing wrong,
while the church bell tolls its one note song,
and the school bell is tinkling to the throng.
Come hear, where your ears cannot hear,
and close your eyes, child, and listen to what I'll tell you,
follow in the darkest night the sounds that may impel you,
and the song I'm singing may serve to disturb or quell you.
If all the sound you hear aren't what they seem,
then don't mind me, cos I aint nothin
but a dream.
The rising smell of fresh-cut grass,
smothered cities choke and yell with fuming gas,
I'll hold some grapes up to the sun,
and let the flavour break upon my tongue.
With eager tongues we taste our strife,
and fill our lungs with seas of life,
come taste and smell the waters of our times.
And close your lips, child, so softly I might kiss you,
let your perfume out and let the winds caress you,
as I walk on through the garden,
I am hoping I don't miss you.
If all the things you taste aren't what they seem,
then don't mind me, cos I aint nothin
but a dream.
The sun and moon both arise,
and we'll see them soon through days of night,
but now silver leaves of mirrors bring delight,
and the colour of your eyes is fiery bright,
while darkness blinds the skies with all its light.
Come see where your eyes cannot see,
and close your eyes child,
and look at what I'll show you,
let your mind go reeling out and let the breezes blow you,
and maybe when we meet,
suddenly I will know you.
If all the things you see aren't what they seem,
then don't mind me, cos I aint nothin
but a dream.
And you can follow.
A Dad Hurts Too
People don't always see the tears a dad cries,
His heart is broken too when his child dies.
He tries to hold it together and be strong,
Even though his world's gone wrong.
He holds his wife as her tears fall,
Comforts her through it all,
He goes through his day doing what he's supposed to do,
But a piece of his heart has been ripped away too.
So when he's alone he lets out his pain,
And his tears come like falling rain,
His world has crashed in around him,
And a world that was once bright has gone dim.
He feels he has to be strong for others,
But Dads hurt too, not just the Mothers,
He searches for answers but none are to be found,
He hides behind a mask when he is feeling down.
He smiles through his tears,
He struggles and holds in his fears,
But what you see on the outside is not always real,
Men don't always show how they really feel.
So I'd like to ask a favor of you,
The next time you see a mother hurting
over the loss of her child,
please remember.....a Dad hurts too.

What my child has taught me......
I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you cant.
I've learned that learning to forgive takes a lot of practice.
I've learned that friends can become strangers, and strangers can become friends.
I've learned that ignorance isn't an excuse for the lack of compassion.
Ive learned that some peoplewill never, ever- get it.
Ive learned that the community of sorrow is the strongest of all.
I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of minutes.
I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you to soon.
I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words,
it may be the last time you see them.
I've learned that love isn't measured by the amount of time you have with someone.
I've learned that some sorrow is so deep that it has no words, but so is love.
As your heart aches each day,
look at the stars as smiles from the many angels that heaven holds.
Thank you for touching my heart,
you will be remembered in my prayers.

Mum's Poem
I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today.
I asked what makes a Mother
And I know I heard him say.
A Mother has a baby
This we know is true.'
But God, can you be a Mother
When your baby's not with you?
Yes, you can, He replied
With confidence in His voice
I give many women babies
When they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime
And others for a day.
And some I send to feel your womb
But there's no need to stay.
I just don't understand this, God
I want my baby here
He took a breath and cleared His throat
And then I saw a tear.
I wish I could show you
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child smile
With other children and say:
'We go to earth to learn our lessons
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much
I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom
Who had so much love for me
I learned my lesson very quickly
My Mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much
But I visit her each day.
When she goes to sleep
On her pillow's where I lay.
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek
And whisper in her ear.
'Mommy don't be sad today
I'm your baby and I'm here.'
So you see my dear sweet one
Your children are ok
Your babies are here in My home
And this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with Me
Until your lesson is through.
And on the day that you come home
They'll be at the gates for you.
So now you see what makes a Mother
It's the feeling in your heart.
It's the love you had so much of
Right from the very start.
Though some on earth may not realize
You'r a Mother until their time is done.
They'll be up here with Me one day
And you know you're the best one!
Do you make them laugh in Heaven,
does your smile bring them good cheer?
Do you make the sun shine brighter,
like you did when you were here?
The very mention of your name,
the memories of your smile,
The little things you said and did,
are with us all the while.
You meant so very much to us,
there’s nothing left to say,
Except that without you here
there is no perfect day.
For no-one knows the heartache,
that lies behind our smiles,
no-one knows how many times
I have broken down & cried.
I want to tell you something
so there wont be any doubt,
you're so wonderful to think of,
but so hard to be without...
We hold you close within our hearts,
and there you shall remain.
To walk with us throughout our lives,
until we meet again xXxXxXxXx
